WE’RE BACK! After a two-year hiatus, the Santa Monica Democratic Club is bringing back the Sammy Awards!

Date: Saturday, August 6th
Time: 4 PM to 6 PM
Location: Shared upon RSVP (private residence in Santa Monica)
Tickets: $30 individual, $15 under-25 years old or student
Note: All guests are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

The Sammy Awards is the Santa Monica Democratic Club’s annual fundraiser where we will honor and hear from Democratic leaders committed to our Santa Monica Values. We expect a big turnout at this year’s event as our members gear up for the midterm elections!

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to fund election mailers and GOTV efforts. Election mailers provide our club recommendations to Santa Monica voters for ballot measures and candidates. This year, we’re focusing our GOTV activities on critical, swing district congressional races supporting Christy Smith in the San Fernando Valley and Jay Chen in Orange County, among others.

Food and beverages will be available at the event. Non-members can become members for the remainder of 2022 through the purchase of a Sammy Awards ticket, allowing participation in critical upcoming club endorsement votes on candidates and ballot measures.
