At last month’s meeting, we considered potential changes to the structure of our City government. This month, we will continue our examination of democracy reform by taking a deep look at alternative methods of voting being used in other jurisdictions that we may want to consider in Santa Monica.

– Approval Voting, presented by Michael Ruvinsky

Plus, a look at Voting Behavior and Social Determinants, presented by Keith Coleman

We will also discuss highlights from the 2021 California Democratic Party Convention, held virtually, with special guests including Women’s Caucus Chair Carolyn Fowler, Veteran’s Caucus Secretary Angela Scott, and more.

And we will be considering three resolutions:
