The 2026 California primary is just a year away, but the field for governor keeps growing. We are working to bring you all of the Democratic candidates running statewide next year, and this month we will feature a gubernatorial double header!

On May 21, we will be joined by former state Controller and California Democratic Party Vice Chair Betty Yee followed by California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond. Both are candidates for Governor in 2026.

May 28: Special Meeting on the Airport
One week after our monthly Membership Meeting, we will also hold a Special Membership Meeting on May 28 to continue our discussion regarding the future of the SM Airport land. Park developer Sasaki will soon announce their three proposed scenarios, which will give us a wealth of new information about our options and opportunities for the park land. All members of the Club are welcome to attend this special session.
