We had a great meeting last night – our final membership meeting of the year!
We were joined by Santa Monica’s new City Manager, Oliver Chi, who shared details of the City’s new Realignment Plan.
We were joined by three candidates seeking statewide office: Former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs (Lieutenant Governor candidate), Asm. Al Muratuschi (State Superintendent candidate), and Asm. Mike Gipson (Board of Equalization candidate). We were also joined by Eric Strong, a candidate for LA County Sheriff.
Finally, we considered a resolution brought forward by Club members to ban artificial turf on public lands in Santa Monica. After a few friendly amendments on the floor, the final version passed 46-2 (96%).
